you have to start from scratch... only thing thats not needed is modem

you will need to buy a OS as well

19" is the biggest monitor size other than that go for it

At the moment i would run with this....maybe...possibly....but id change my mind 50 times first

at the moment though ive built a couple of these 1333FSB systems and must say i have been extremely impressed.At the end of the day the most important single part of a gaming system is the graphics card.That is a fairly good card....but there is always better....This system would allow you in say 6 to 12 months time to by another card thats identical and put you right back at the front again (FPS)

although i do like the AMD 6400....its not quite as good as the intel but remember video card is the most important....argh see its started already

i was gona get the 8800GTS, but for less you get the 8600 with 512 ram,which i cannot see performs any less than the 8800

I would def go for the intel range atm it is generaly cheaper all up and is better tech. As for the GFX card I would grab me a 8800GTS as it supports DX10 and from experience using one in my m8s computer they proform well under stress. How ever if I was really going for a system that gave me the best FPS and loading times i would get OCZ Reeper RAM its the best on the market at the moment to my knowlage.

No idea why you would go for a floppy drive. Now days most drivers are way to big for one. They are outdated tech and I see no need for them. Only thing they are good for is making a you computer boot from CD so you can format and so on. But you can do that from the BIOS

You have to think head when you are upgrading. Unless you buy top of the range now, with in the next 6 months you will more then likly need to up grade again to play the new games coming out such as Crysis and so on. If I was buying parts for a system and trying to keep the cost down I would have a look at getting a SLi motherboard. they are more expencive however when it comes to upgrading all you have to do is buy the same GFX card you have already which by that time would have come down in price, then SLi it. Plus if you have the OCZ ram its SLi ready as it is. This would be a more expencive upgrade to start with but save you money down the track.

Remember the most important part of the computer is the Motherboard. Dont buy crap as it wont support the faster FSB so the better memery wont work.

5t well my 8600 4 weeks old just pooped itself,i have taken it back and will pay the extra to get the 8800, which wont get here till friday.So now i only have onboard [smilie=smiley_abus[1].gif] .
