I've started a little project. I finished my drawing during school today and I'm colouring it in photoshop. I should have posted what it looked like before I started but this is what I have so far.

I've been studying and looking up tutorials. I think this is good practice for my graphic skills xD

To tell you the truth ... I really don't know. I just start drawing a few random lines then it just sort of becomes a real picture you know. I started drawing wings then I got this idea of doing my version of what the angel of death looks like. Ever since Bob left ... I've found myself doing more art because I always get bored.

oO ... wait ... I said that? I am colouring it in photoshop. I'm not that skilled lol Cec ... I'm having a hard time cuting him out. I guess I should have done that before I started colouring him.
I wish I could find a tutorial on how to make it look like real blood.

I do want to go to college for photography but I never thought I was good enough for an artist dealing with painting and drawing. I was also thinking about going to college for graphic design.

Wooo looks good dani! Good colours etc.

I do, however, feel that the background is a little too strong in some area's which is taking all the focus away from the drawing in the middle. If you left the pic in the middle a little bit sharper, and blurred the background a bit, I would probably make love to your piece of art

In Black on the red angle down in the bottom right hand corner (similar text to what is on there (only a suggestion)

not so much blur the background but make it look like its wavy like from heat (as in hell)

The blade was a pain in the ass. I couldn't make it look like the fire was reflecting in it correctly. It would just be too white. This was just my first time trying something so difficult and I can't do much. I'm still learning. I just learned how to make fire xD that sounds funny ... but you know what I mean. I'll draw another picture some day and it will be better. I'm looking up a lot of tutorials on things xD you just don't know how much I've read and how much time I've spent on photoshop trying different things. MY EYES HURT! Oh and his middle right finger is there ... it's just bent more than the others ... but anyways ... for the next few weeks I won't be on the computer x) If you know why...

But thank you Cecil and Baby. You guys helped a lot. I appreciate your thoughts on it ... unlike the rest of the guys. I'll try harder next time.

cool you'll get there. can i just ask which books have you been reading about drawing these sorts of things. trudi has wanted to learn for a long time but all her teachers only want to teach fruit bowls and such.

I did read books on drawing ... I was ready books on photoshop and graphics ...

Not having a go at the other guys - (Cecil & Baby)- I think that their input is excellent - Dont get to involved in what is technically or anatomically correct (ie. could have lost top of finger in fight or such), Dont get lost in this side of it - sure read about it - learn from it - But your drawing is what comes from the heart - your feeling at the time etc - let it just flow. I may be a little old fashioned (being part of the hippie type era (ie 60's) but things these days tend to get tied up in whats technically, politically correct etc.

Who gives a stuff, as I said before it is what comes from the heart - just let it happen. It will then just flow thru into your drawing, photography etc .

And as you said you have learnt from this drawing the next time it will be different . (I did notice you Quoted (I'll try harder next time)) Please dont think like this while your thinking I need to this or that, you'll lose the moment & the flow just let it happen DANI

I think I've waffled on enough now.

Keep up the good work - you have plenty of good years ahead of you. I have this feeling????

lol thank you Dizz. I will continue with this. I've gotten a lot of letters from Art school that my orchestra teacher told them about me. ^^ I have a wide opening on a college. Though there is one that I really really want to get in but I couldn't with my ACT score. It's in New York. Anyways x) If I don't get in any of those colleges that I've gotten a letter from, then I'll just stay here and go to that really small Arts college here in Memphis. I got a job to do x) I'm going to take picture at my first wedding ... I mean my sister's wedding. If I haven't told ya's yet ... my sister asked me to take pictures at her wedding. Meaning they're not paying for a professional ... she wants me to do it x) and it's going to be at the beach.

^^ I'm already to business with my photography. Some of the teachers my mum work with are asking me to take their kids picture. And I've been helping my daddy's company with catalogs, calenders, and other pictures of job sites.
Oh and tomorrow if I'm feeling well enough. My daddy and I are going to a car show to take pictures. (I'm sick with a virus. Been like that for the past week and continuing. Still not feeling any better.) My mum says I'm just fine because my temperature was 98.7 and that's not considered a fever. Though I feel like I'm about to pass out some times if I'm up too long. I'm gonna have to go to work like this tomorrow too

I'll just have to suck it up and get the day over with.

Well done dani

you'll be right , and you'll do a good job, remember don't get to techo just how it feels, you'll 'know, and don't always put your subject in the centre of the frame unless you are going to fill the frame with that subject, remember the rule of thirds.

i do have to say i like ur picture as it is dani, the one with the red background.. it looks awesome. Art is about the artists point on something so i cant tell u to make the blade look sharper, or watever, once its finished its the piece of art it is, no one told divinci to paint mona lisa with bigger boobs did they? So draw wat u want from the soul and ull go far, Im also very interested in Art, I mostly Draw Towns from the medievil peroids and Knights with chuncky armour, all by hand and in black and white... if i could get my scanner working i could show u... gimmie a few days
