Dani's moving on!
I got myself into photography lately. I decided to make my dad a little something. I took some pictures of some doors because my dad is a project manager for a door and hardware company. Then I chose my favorite door and made him a calender. He took it to work and posted it up on his wall. His boss came by and started asking about the calender. My dad told him that I made it from my own photos. My dad's boss asked if I could make him some calenders for their reps and others. He'll pay me $500 for 50 copies of calenders. I suggested that I'll take pictures of their projects and products and make calenders from that. So now ... my dad suggested that I could make this into a small little business. Get other businesses to notice my work. If you guys want to see some here .... http://danicle.deviantart.com/gallery/? .... anyways ... what do you guy think about that? Cool huh .... I was going to go to college for Architecture and engineering design buuuut ... I might change my mind and maybe take some classes for photography and computer graphics. I never knew how good I was with photography till I got that camera. Interesting huh ...

Great work - I'm into Digital photography, still learning though and that is great work, I tend to agree with Sniper - get a portfolio ready, get some architecture experience behind you then when you get a bit older and wiser out there in the workplace I reckon you should go for it. Get some funds behind you because photography can be pretty cut throat business. But excellent work though.
By the way I'm retired (Army Pension(Vietnam Veteran)) but I was a Cartographic Draughtsman / Computer Programmer/ Computer Aided Engineering (Automotive)/ Snow ski technician/ Video film editing/General Hand in the Wine industry and even machine operator and timber grader in a Wood Mill. I then retired because of problems caused by my service in Vietnam. So as you can see I have been around.
All I can say is get some experience and funds behind you - then go for it. You've got some talent there.

Dani,
Pentax K1000 is a good beginners camera get the basics of exposure and such down pat - Film as well.
So the pics are not digital then, film based images.
The only way to go.
I was a Photographer in the Aust Air Force (85 -98 )
If ya need some pointers let me know.
I was mainly a technical type of photographer, not the arty farty type. That's what the military wanted.

My daddy was also a photographer in the Air Force. He also attended New York Institute of Photography. Oh and someone from my moms work asked me if they can buy one of my prints so she can paint it ^^ and my sister is going to pay me to take pictures at her wedding. She liked this one picture I did with her child and our mom.
