important!!!!

Post by Prevail »

I am with optus broadband and i am on the power bundles plan which is 1.5mbs.

For some reason I am getting around 23-34 kps when i should be getting 156kp/s

I have tried reinstalling my antivirus and also my spyware but still nothing is working.

Could it just be optus or is it my computer or my connection?

Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Shouldn't stop us talking about ISP's and bandwidth issues.

Doesn't stop others opening old threads in other areas.

True, I guess it can solve others issues, if any.

Did someone mention IC?

Actually I'm still with IINet 'cause I got a great deal a while ago and don't wanna let it go.

1.5/512 40Gb Offpeak/40Gb Onpeak and free downloads from the IINet similar to Internode and their FTP sites/Game servers. That's a whopping 80Gb/month for $89 - Bargain.

And they can't take it off me - hahahahahaha - had it for 4 years and they don't offer anything close to that anymore - hahahahahahaha - I'm robbing em blind - hahahahahahaha

WELL...We are missing out.... as we have iinet too...and our plan we just changed to...a high download than we had before...still doesnt match yours..m88y... but we have free download sit as welll check it out..

home 5 - $69.95   ADSL2+ speeds   20GB + 40GB   $99.90

With SPEEDS ...out of this world...ahahah

broadband2+ is our suite of high-speed broadband plans that use the iinetwork to deliver a new standard of broadband called ADSL2+. broadband1 plans use ADSL technology with speeds up to 8000kbps.

ADSL2+ ensures a smoother and more satisfying online experience with download speeds typically much faster than standard ADSL. More than half of our broadband2+ customers experience speeds in excess of 10,000kbps with a small percentage clearing 20,000kbps, up to 24,000kbps.

hehehe.... I'm on the same plan. When had an Optus rep come around the other week asking us if we

"Wanted to upgrade to ADSL2 on the Optus plan"
"What is it?"
"2GB per month for $40"
"I'm sorry, was that 2 or 20!?"
"2 Gig, why?"
"Our cap with iiNet is 80Gb per month, ADSL2, 1.5/512. 40GB OP, 40GB Off-P"
"Yeah right... I've been doing this for about 2 years now, I've never heard of any offer like that"
"You wouldn't, it was about 5 years ago when iiNet started offering ADSL2. We switched our Landline and Internet over and got that deal"
"Uh huh... If you don't want the plan, just say so... Don't make up BS"
"Give me 2 minutes" *Run inside, bring out the bill and hand it to the guy"
"Well CENSORED me dead... Don't ever, EVER change providers... Bye"
"Cya"
