I have this problem with WMP 10 I think it is. every time i try and watch a movie, clip or anything it comes out all dark. so i have to go into the nvidia control panel and just click on one of the sliders, i dont even have to move it i just click on it then go back to WMP and everything's all hunky dory

If you have something like a 7600 GT, re install your drivers or under the "color correction" page, change your overlay settings to default...

to dodgy the reason i use WMP is cos i dont like real player and most other players only play a couple of formats where as wmp plays prety much all of em. although since the reinstall its stoped playing DVD iso files dont know if this is cos i havent installed nero yet or not

Maybe Your more likely to have the success with these file types if you use PowerDVD. Not to say VLC couldn't but no cert. Download it anyway and see what you think. It is free after all. Also, in it's favour, there is nothing fancy about it - it just works.
