Folks so as I know who plays enter your COD 4 game play name on my list below, for ease just edit it add your name to the list make sure you let me know who you are in ADF or other clans, mates. I will start. PS if you dont have the power to edit the forum just add a reply with your details.

i'm downloading the demo. after i've played that i'll decide. i've gone about as far as i can resonably go in bf2142 (brig gen) to get past where i am i need to play about 8 hrs a day (you need to get about 3000 points a week to get past brig gen and even then you only keep it for 2 weeks)

This game is well worth buying I am playing it and I must say I am impressed graphics are great game play is really intense both online and single and my shinny new computer runs it sweet but my old machine runs it well too [smilie=08.gif]

The Demo doesn't give you enough of the game to make a solid decision.

The game is worth every cent, the storyline was absolutely fantastic and the gameplay was challenging (Played it through on 'hardened' [2nd highest diff]).

Although, I have my copy on XB360, not PC because it's a MP game and most of my games now that are MP I get on XB360 so my bro can play as well.

It would be worth a look, as the OZ servers seem to be nearly full every night. ( 20 - 32 players per server)

If you do look at it.
It may be worthwhile setting up a few - Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy, Sabotage, Free for All - these are all different game styles.

No as we can't put the full stop, brackets or = sign in our names - e.g. .-=(ADF-Bungy)=-.

I have tried using all keys and you can only have Alphanumeric and _ or - in your player name and no spaces. You may be able to use other characters but I haven't found out how - yet.

Yes we can still protect our tags as they use punkbuster.

For those who want to know what the different modes are:

Game modes

* Free-for-All - Every man for himself.

* Team Deathmatch - Use teamwork to kill opposing players and reach score limit or time limit.

* Ground War - Big team games-TDM and Domination.

* Team Objective - Domination and Search & Destroy. Capture flags in Domination, with respawning. Destroy and defend objectives in Search & Destroy, no respawning.

* Team Tactical - Small team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy.

* Search and Destroy - There are two teams: attackers and defenders. Attackers try to plant a bomb at one of two bomb sites, and defenders try to defend the bomb sites. If explosives are planted, defenders must defuse them. Players only have one respawn per round. A round is over when all players on one team are killed, or when the bomb explodes or is defused.

* Headquarters - A laptop spawns somewhere on the map. Your goal is to capture the laptop for your team. If Team A captures the laptop, they must defend it from being destroyed by Team B. Team A only has one respawn until the laptop is destroyed or the max time limit for the laptop is reached. Team B respawns at set intervals. Team A earns points for every second the laptop is held. To capture/destroy a laptop, you must stand in the area of the laptop. The more players, the faster you destroy it. A new laptop spawns when time limit is reached or the laptop is destroyed.

* Domination - There are flags at certain points around the map. All flags start neutral. Teams battle to hold the most flags. Game ends when the time limit is reached, or the score limit is reached.

* Sabotage - Similar to Search and Destroy, only the bomb is neutral and there are objectives located in both teams' bases. Each team's goal is to take the bomb and blow up the objective in the enemy's base. The bomb carrier can fire his weapons, but his position will be announced periodically throughout the game. Also, unlike Search and Destroy, players have unlimited respawns as opposed to just one per round, although it is not instantaneous like Team Deathmatch or Free-for-All.

* Team Hardcore - Hardcore Team Deathmatch and Search and Destroy. Limited HUD, extra bullet damage, friendly fire on.

* Old School - Old School TDM and FFA. No classes. Weapons are pickups, health is increased, and jumps are higher.

* Oldcore - Old School pick-ups and jumping. Hardcore limited HUD and extra bullet damage. TDM.

This gives plenty of variety and also the newer players can find servers to suit them until they get their skills up before trying hardcore servers.

anyone played this in vista yet? the demo is fairly stable, no gfx locks once i got the setting right. but i want to know if the proper game is stable in vista.

I have discovered how to put our tags in COD 4 thx to FDG Scott. press the ~ Key which brings up console then type

/bind 9 name .-=(ADF-Dodgey)=-. then when I press "9" my name changes from Dodgey to .-=(ADF-Dodgey) however it dosnt have the "=-."

at the end maybe my name is to long but at least you can get the ".-=(ADF" try it.

A lot servers do not show up for some reasons not sure why but if you hit your ~ key type in connect & server ip not sure if you have to add the port at the end but I do I find this is the only way to get on some servers hope that helps you out capt

Before opening servers we should check out the overhead etc so we don't cause more problems with the lag issues again.

I played COD 4 on XBox 360 and i found the graphics are crap. Nothing looks real. Its a lot like MOH. Nothing like AA. I would hope the graphics are better on PC. And i bet they are.

You cant even compare the graphics with AA and COD 4 on PC, you can only hope AA version 3 will have such good graphics and it depends on your Video Card also.

AA 3.0 is supposed to be running on the U3 Engine but still DX9, not DX10... Hopefully it will be more pretty but not 'cluttered' like most pay-to-play/buy games.

have not any success in joining the ADFTeam COD4 server.

each time I try I get in for a couple of minutes then get the message - server diconnected and I end up back at the join game screen.

last time I got in was sunday arvo - it was in headquarters mode.

You can download a no cd crack, but if you play it online together you will get PB kicked for keygen.

Well, on XBox, once you hit level 55, you can reset your level and start again, however you get this nice gold star around your rank badge, showing that you hit 55 and have started again.

You can reset your score up to ten times, before you hit max level. (Which is what the 'prestige' part is next to level 55 on that list)

Also, fav weaps.

SMGS: P90 with ACOG or Red-Dot, MP5 with silencer.
Assault Rifles: M4/G3/G36c w/Red-dot
Shotguns: W1200 w/Grip
LMG: MK60E4 w/Grip
Sniper: SVD
Pistol: .45 w/silencer

Usual Perks:
Perk 1: RPG/Bomb SQ/Bandolier
Perk 2: Sleight of Hand, UAV Jammer
Perk 3: Steady Aim
