for me it's a tie between the following.......

Joomla is easy to install and has one of the biggest communities

Drupal has been around a long time, its very secure code and has an excellent permissions system.

if you want to try a lot of CMS before picking one you can go to...

http://opensourcecms.com/

on the left you will see a CMS Demo Menu and uder that you can select the CMS you want to check out....

example if you click on drupal it will load a new page with the following;

Version 5.1
www.drupal.org

Front Page
Admin Login
Username- admin
Password- demo

so clicking on Front page will load what regular members see and the username and password is admin and demo.

clicking on admin login will load the admin page and the username and password is the same.this gives you a chance to check out not only what it looks like but how the admin functions work as well..

i should also mention that i didnt mind mambo and that drupal and joomla tied for the 2006 best CMS award, and dont forget php-nuke (or in my case futurenuke) [smilie=halm[1].gif]

thanks deano

I was thinking of getting something to put together the new website for my business and as I'm a techno-dummy I need something that is WYSIWYG really.
