I am OK, the worst of it was about 10-15km away (Grantham area).
Currently the local area has had the water turned off as they need to repair the treatment station,
Bottled water is being trucked and flown in, yesterday it was 3 x 600ml bottles per person per day.
Today, that could be more as more stocks arrive.
Milk is being rationed, yesterday a local dairy farmer brought a truckload into Laidley, 4L per person and you have to bring your own container.
probably can't get the milk out due to road closures, and you can't just turn the cows off for a few days.
Bread is also being rationed at Woolies down the road - 2 loaves per person.
I managed to get out Grantham way yesterday, trying to see if some friends were OK.
As I hadn't heard from them for since Monday.
Turns out they had no power or phone - all good.
Another was in Toowoomba when the floods happened, their house survived.
It was near the Grantham school.
Can't actually gety into Grantham as it is closed off and is considered a crime scene.
Only way in is with police escort and have a bloody good reason for being there.
I spoke with Medic this morning, all good.
He has no credit on his phone so can only receive calls ATM.
He told me Messiah is OK, flood waters didn't get to him.
There are a couple of other ADF members out Gatton way but haven't heard anything as yet.
But with comms the way they are, could be a few days before they can get connected.
