Do cops (when using the radar gun) have to be in sight? or can they hide behind bushes and stuff

so far as i am aware, the only legal requirement regarding displaying signage or being visible is that they must have a sign within 200m of the camera (in SA it was intended to be prior to the camera, but due to a loop hole, they can, and do, put it 200m after the camera ...

i can only speak of sa law, if they pull you over, you;re in trouble ... if they just point and shoot, ask for photo

most of the time, it's easier to pay the fine than dispute it

as far i know in vic they do have to be in plain sight dont need signs but cant hide in the bushes

i'd just pay the darn thing, unless you've non hope of finding the cash for the fine, then try what you can ...

jt will always cost more than the fine its about not losing your licence for points rather than avoiding the fine
