Conficker worm - test for infection

Conficker, considered to be potentially one of the nastiest
worms to hit the Internet in quite a while, has finally woken
up. It's downloading updates, which security analysts suspect
to be key loggers or other code designed to steal information
from infected machines.

To see if your machine is infected, go to

http://www.talkbiz.com/confickertest/

It's an extremely simple test. Load the page and see if you get
all 6 pictures. If you do, you're unlikely to be infected. The
explanation is VERY short, and included on the page.

it is alleged that the Conficker has infiltrated more PC's then any other virus and that even if your not noticing any abnormalities with your PC that it may still be infected and the worm is just dormant atm.

little is known about it, what it does exactly and what it can possibly do.

As I understand its been around since October last year, its not a hoax and waiting for the person that created it to press the big red button. Millions of computers have been affected. The link Bungy posted takes you to a website that shows you images from anti virus website. Conflicker block anti virus sites which will prevent the images from being loaded.

I doubt that the maker will flick the switch with $250,000.00 bounty on his head. But then again someone else might just do it. If they do take control I hope its against Microsoft
