ClanHost (formerly known as ADFTEAM) is the new Clan Hosting website. There will therefore be some important changes in 2009, which will impact all customers. These changes have occurred so that we can expand and keep hosting prices low for you, the customer. All game servers will now be run by ClanHost.com.au

TeamSpeak
Previously ClanHost was able to offer free TeamSpeak servers to its customers, but as of 1st January 2009 a charge for TeamSpeak servers will be introduced, as we now must purchase a license for TeamSpeak. The good news is that our prices are better than any of the Authorized Hosters in Australia. You can view the prices for all our TeamSpeak servers on our website. If you already have a free TeamSpeak server hosted with us you need to consider whether you still want to keep it and then what number of slots you would like. Go to our website http://www.clanhost.com.au to purchase your new TeamSpeak server and it will be setup immediately.


Late Fees
As of the 1st January 2009 we will no longer be giving a 7 day period of grace for payments. This is due to the amount of payments received after the due date. Payments instead must be received IN FULL by the DUE DATE. If payment is not received by this date a $20 late fee will apply in addition to the invoice amount due.

Discounts
If you're currently hosting a game server through ClanHost and you have referred another clan to us, we will give you a 10% discount on your monthly bill for the duration the clan stays with us. We also will be giving discounts to customers that have a third server hosted through ClanHost.com.au


Terms of Service
Please stay up to date with the TOS as they will be updated regularly. You can find the latest TOS at the bottom of the ClanHost website.

SMS Outage
If you would like to receive a SMS when your server goes down and receive updates, send an email to sales@clanhost.com.au to be setup.

Priority Support
You can still get priority support from Clanhost.com.au by logging in and clicking the Priority Support link. Priority Support is not 24/7 support, but it will contact the support staff using various methods, so that your problem is resolved as quickly as possible.

Hi All,

Over the years ADFTEAM has been growing strong, expanding and improving our place in the online gaming world, as well as the server market. Over the last few months we have started to make a small profit from our server hosting, with the help of donations from our friends and members.

I would like to take this chance to thank you all for shaping this Team into one of the best teams in the world. I would also like to thank ADF-Medic for all the time and work he has put into the team and the great support he has given to our customers, I know we would not have come this far without him.

As a result of this success I have decided in 2009 ADF-Medic and I will receive a 25% share of profit with 50% going towards the benefit of the team. I have also started a new .com.au website dedicated towards hosting Game, Voice and Web servers. This will hopefully increase our customer base and give us the chance to advertise a server hosting company (currently being built).

Donations will not be included in the final monthly profit figure. We are currently not reliant on donations, however all donations received will go 100% towards the team.

Here are just a few ways you can help the team grow:
1. Donating would be the best way.

3. You can also spread the word about our quality, great priced game servers. We have over 14 game servers hosted and running without any complaints from anyone. I guess we are doing a good job.

I would like to thank all our members and the community for their huge contributions towards ADFTEAM, making it what it is today. Without your trust, enabling us to move forward, we could not have done it. Every time we move forward, the stronger we become.

As you know I have not been too active over the last couple of years and spent a lot of time behind the scenes. I would like to thank my wife Naomi for all the effort put into the accounts and management of the teams funds, it has been a great help.

A whole year of server admin costs $300. So thats why they would be on the list.

To keep the server and our AAO servers running it costs $617 a month.

We have done our best to cover the cost by getting customers. And giving ADFTEAM Servers at a very low cost.

Which works out to be $3,326.88
Divide that by 12 and we get $277.00
$340.00 a month is not covered, and we rely on customers to cover this cost which they do pretty well.

So when you look at the big picture ADFTEAM servers are Free.

The only issue we have at the moment is bandwidth, and if it is anything like it was last month it will cost us $700 a month on top of what we already pay. I am not joking around. Anyway thats my problem to figure out.

If you would like the figures on that 1 GIG of bandwidth costs $2
Last month we used 1T which is 1,000 GIG (we get 1T free a month)
ATM we are using 45GIG a day multiply that by 30 and you get 1,350 which is 350 over our free limit.
That costs $700 extra a month on top of our $617. Thats when all the ADF servers get shut down to save bandwidth, we might have to loose some customers, or get another server which will cost about $300 a month which is better then paying the $700 a month.

So sleep well.
