If you want to know what's inside the case of one?
Then have a look here ---> http://content.techrepublic.com.com/234 ... 10341.html
They pull one apart and put it back together again.
interesting what they find - for the tech minded and anyone who just loves to know how things work.

I got a White 16GB around the day it came out. I suggest everyone use a Gmail account and sync you contacts with Gmail through iTunes. Also Backup your photos.
Don't say I didn't warn you!
Hundreds of peoples iPhone's do not restore when they are backed up, apple still don't give support.
If you are still running 2.0.0 firmware forget updating it, the bugs are still there in FW 2.0.1 and 2.0.2. Also there are reports that the signals is worse...
Dont jailbreak the iPhone around 70% of jailbreaking works.
I love Gmail, saved my contacts

I updated to 2.0.2 yesterday 248mb
I did have dramas with the update and it wanted to restore.
I clicked OK, it restored and installed latest software.
So far no trouble.
I am in a semi rural area, so 3G signal is not real strong.
Lucky it has WiFi so it connects to office network for internet (saves on the data quota from your phone provider)

What's your bandwidth limit? Since I have had mine I have used around 250MB up and down. I also connect to all WIFI networks. I feel sorry for the people that don't :S
The Apps I suggest you get are.
VNC Viewer - Good for remote connecting to computers.
Facebook - Everyone has it lol
NetShare - Use your iPhone as a modem
Palringo - MSN Gmail etc chat client like MSN Messenger
Simplify - Stream all your music to your phone
I got a fair few more but nothing really that flash hot.

Evolution is just so unlikely to produce complex life forms.

Came across this
http://www.thetechherald.com/article.ph ... -reception
Quote
"Despite its relative network immaturity exclusive U.S. carrier AT&T posted an equal third performance of around 990Kbps, along with Australia’s Telstra, Japan’s Softbank and Sweden’s Telia.
The slowest download speeds were attributed to Australian carriers Optus and Virgin, which offer users an average of 390Kbps."
end quote
Shame Optus has the best plan but worst speed.

I looked at it but went for N95 8gb. I was just concerned about the touch screen and it getting scratched and stuff
