Im gonna buy an Xbox soon dunno when and gonna get the HALO series with it.

anyone else got an xbox or what ever this xbox live thing is and would like so give me some info on it :p

k 360 get a intercooler and that should be all u need to add to it its a great console the graphics are wounderful and also make sure u get gears of war best game ive played yet

XBox Live (XBL) is a subscription account using your XBox Username. It is basically like subscribing to uhhh... GameSpy in that it lets you play online on servers, download content/updates for your XBox and games, etc.

Your XBox Username is basically like a Windows Profile, in that any game you play on your profile saves your achievements (eg. Sniping 5 people in the head in an online game in Halo 3) which adds to your 'Gamerscore'.

Gamerscores are basically for the hardcore gamers who like to play every game they can, get as many points as possible and give the realism that they have no lives what-so-ever.

Using XBL is far better than the PS3 Online system, in that you can easily play with fellow friends and actually search for what server you want to play on. Whereas the PS3 just throws you in a random server for the game you want to play.

And XBL costs you a yearly subscription I think - maybe 100 Bucks???

and you cant get a mod chip if you use xbl or your account gets banned
