How fast is your machine??

Post by Cage »

I've always wanted to know who has the fastest machine in ADF...  [smilie=laugh[2].gif] are our clan members running top gear super computers or pizza boxes with buttons attached? [smilie=laugh[2].gif]  [smilie=jpshakehead.sml[1].gif]

I have a Pentium 4 with 3Ghz and 2G of RAM
256Mb Radeon X850 XT Video card
and my personal favourite...  19" LCD screen  [smilie=bowdown[1].gif] [smilie=Crash[1].gif]

Confused??? dont know how to find your information??

Ok click start then goto Run in the provided space type in "dxdiag" without the quotation marks. when its up, down the bottom right click "Save All Information.." it saves to the desktop as default! double click and your system info is at the top and your Display info is a small scroll down!

will post my info when i wake up  [smilie=furax[1].gif]

My notebook (which I TS and AA on) - ASUS T2300 (2x1600Mhz), 1 GIG Ram, 80 Gig HDD, ATi X1600 (512Meg Ram, 256Meg Shared w/main)

My main PC in spare b/room is an AthlonXP 2500+ Overclocked to past a 3200+ spec (FSB running at 224DDR Mhz!), 1 Gig Corsair 500mhz Ram, 1.5+ Tera total HDDs, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128 meg

I would like to upgrade my main PC, but it's fine for what I do with it; storing all my pron! :)

to get a true indication of speed you really need to benchmark and compare results......as good as 3DMark and those are i am not a big fan of there results.....in my opinion the only real results are those that do real life stuff.....e.g run 15 filters over a 50mb tiff image and record the time......convert 5 songs to mp3 format and record the time taken....and so on and so on.....

trouble is every one needs to use the same tiff image and apply the same filters and everyone needs to use the 5 exact same songs....

Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
1022MB RAM
RADEON X600 256MB HyperMemory
Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit

And a crap fan that is so loud you can almost hear it from down the street, and it goes constantly when in AA, and keeps going after you come out until you turn the comp off.
