AA is being revamped

Post by ADF-BUNGY »

I received an email today that indicated that the AA devs are getting ready for the next installment.

Message sent to you follows:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The America's Army Devs are back at working planning a new version of
Americas Army. You can join in on the discussion at:
http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5615
For your convenience I've included a couple interesting quotes from
Developers/Community Managers.
"...development of the next version of America’s Army is underway and our
Development Team wants your input!
Tell us what you think the game needs, or maybe doesn’t need. Were previous
versions of AA missing a key feature? Was there something in the game that
should be improved? Remember, the comments you post here can have
tremendous influence in the design and development of the game.
If you ever wanted to let the Dev Team know your thoughts and truly have a
chance to affect the future development of America’s Army, now is the time.
AA Developers will be closely monitoring all posts and actively engaged in
this topic, so make sure you watch this topic closely." - Phoenix
"The next effort is not an extension of AA3. It is a totally new version."
- [Dev]4ohn
"My priority is performance and reliability - particularly in regard to
latency. A close second to that is clan support, tournaments, that kind of
thing." - [Dev]Doc
[/font]
The last couple of comments by [Dev]4ohn & [Dev]Doc appeal to me.
if you are interested then head on over to the AA forums and give your input.
I know many on here were let down by AA3 and stopped playing.
If the devs can get it back on track, I for one would be happy to give it a try and get back into it.
The thread at AA Forums is now at 24 pages.
Some good suggestions coming out.
When I get a few minutes I will summarise here.
They currently have a poll running, closes 13 SEP.
If you could have an AA2 map included in the newest version of America's Army, which would they be?
They didn't put hospital on the list because they already know what the answer is to that one :)
