As many of you have heard by now, the Army Game Project has announced that they will be focusing on AA3 in the future and will no longer use the Honor scoring system in AA2, as stated below:

Over the past nine years more than 12 million registered players have fired billions of rounds as they played in millions of matches. These stats clearly show how hugely successful America's Army 2 has been. Our goal for the future is to make the current America's Army game and future releases even more successful than those in the past, and we're determined to see that happen.

For that reason, as we move forward we are concentrating all our resources on future releases of the game. Unfortunately this means that as of December 18, 2011, we will no longer be supporting the authentication system or statistics tracking for America's Army 2. The game will still be available to play in free-play mode, without Honor points being accrued. AA2 will still be the same game, with the same action and same fun. Matches can still be held and competitions won and lost. Just without the point system.

We hope our long time AA2 fans understand that this decision is in the best interest of the development of America's Army and its players as a whole. We hope they continue to enjoy the 2 series as long as they like. If you need help with AA2 please refer to the AA2 Online Game Manual or the Forum Archive, or email us atAACM@americasarmy.com.

Additionally, the Army Game Project has chosen to consolidate their distribution via the Steam Platform http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic ... 665#p20665.

It has been our tremendous honor and privilege to work on America’s Army for these many years, but with this change in direction, there will no longer be an Honor Program in its current form. The Honor program contributed greatly to the success and popularity of the Army Game, but times and directions change. We are therefore notifying you that if you have an Honor account with us, we will begin terminating the accounts. If you have a subscription that goes beyond the termination date of AA2 ceasing to exist in its current form, we will be prorating your Agreement. If your account if paid via PayPal you will need to cancel the subscription yourself, if paid by credit card, we will be terminating those accounts on our side.

If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you again for the continued support of Honor and the America’s Army game.
