Should i patch 2.8.2 to 2.8.3? Patch is already downloaded and ready to go, but i want some honest opinions.. I've alot of good stuff but im not sure if it's safe to yet?

So tell me what you fortunate blokes think of the new patch?

Well we're all going to have to anyway, im on 2.8.3 , yea it sucks but there isn't much we can do about it, unless we want to be the only clan on 2.8. 2

Good- Fast reload, Lower flash times

Bad - Fast reload, Lower flash times

overall i think the speed of the game takes away its tactics and turns it into a CS style FPS, many would disagree however.,

install it mate and wear it.

When I was in ADF It was during the transition between 2.6 and 2.7, because 2.7 was so ghey sniper kept us on 2.6 haha. Best idea ever I say.

But yeah, I like the new 2.8.3 I have gained a good 100fps lol and I enjoy the faster reloads and other bugs that suit my playing style.

I hate the faster reloads... your luck I switched to 2.8.3.... I love dancing around when you and the E are reloading at the same time Now theres just a short little dance

Someone was having a whinge about the "10 second hold period" at the start of every round... thats a server option and I'll be turning it off if I see it on on our servers...

cable that's the thing that reduces fps lagg.

That 10 second delay works a treat on SF maps.

I played a few rounds last night in our Pipe server..

Fast reloads yes, Shorter Flashes??? BS!

I flashed 2 people and have been flashed myself and to me, it was the same time.. :S

But all in all, besides all the little kids swearing and talking about owning asses etc, it was fun, i managed to get a nice lil kill ratio going..

flashes are less effective outside
inside they still get you, the time was reduced from 20 to 12.

As we know, those that were kicked on Sat night from GA
we had cvar violations for the flash length - 2.8.3 is 12 and GA has it still at 20.

Faster reload I like.
The 10 sec at start of round I don't mind, allows you to put on suppressors and change to auto etc.

I haven't found anything yet I don't like.
I also have a slight increase in FPS.

All I look for in a gaming experience is that I have fun and enjoy myself. If I don't I don't play the game i.e. Lineage

I see a lot of younger players getting frustrated on servers but in time they will mellow.

The other thing is that you can't forceclass and get honor.
So a lot of people have been whining in the AA forums about this, saying their choice to play FC and get honor has been taken away.
maybe it has, but the maps have been developed with a certain weapon load out and that is what you play with to get honor. I don't see their argument really, they can still FC their server but not get honor. They still have a choice

They must have had a few complaints about admins FC a player with recruit or giving their clan mates better weapons etc to give them an advantage, with the release of 2.8.3 to do this they have to enable cheats on the server, which means that if they do, any player can FC themselves

As we don't FC on a regular basis ( I don't do it at all), it won't affect us. For those clans that do it as the norm will probably not keep their server as honor, Pragmatic will lose some $$ over that.

Back to 2.6 I say best times ever on there

Thanks for the insight Bungy! I will agree that my FPS has increased a little bit but im still yet to get used to faster reloads
