TWL Oceanic League

Hey guys, we're starting afresh with a new OC league for AA. We'd like to make this a true representation of the OC community and get something that we can all enjoy and be proud of. We are taking suggestions right now from any willing and want to create something that appeals to everyone involved.

It would be great to have ADF competing and your suggestions would be useful too. Come take a look and see what you think.

I have looked at the thread and it appears Sunday night is the preferred match night.

Format still to be finalised - 4v4, 5v5 etc

Maps still to be finalised - hop in thread and post your views as Bacchus had indicated.

1st Sept start date to have it completed by christmas.

They have listed a heap of clans but one they did not mention is ADF

I'm interested, i haven't really done much except hop on a server here and there, a little co-operative team play would be great fun i think.

but it really needs to be a team thing, so the more people the merrier, me and bungy cant exactly compete with everyone  [smilie=laugh[2].gif]

i have been keen to get in a league since I got my new internet connection.

I also did some upgrades to my comp so I think I am ready to give it a go.

That may have been the past Sniper, reading the TWL forums there are a lot of angry people for a lot of dif reasons.

The main reason I can see was that there were no AUS admins that were reliable.

Bacchus has been appointed as the TWL OC Admin.

So I am happy to see what happens this time.

Who knows, it may be fun.

They want to start from the ground up, so any previous experiences should be put aside and let's see what happens.

isnt twl the on where matches are asigned rather than us chosing a team and them chosing a map or vice versa? if so you can put that where you can fit it.

I sent a email too all the staff at TWL about our problem, it looks like they have fixed some of it up. The aussie admin's are powerless to do anything and treated like scum by stupid American ladder climbers. My arguments with TWL have been going on for more then a year.

Anyway some time last month they have finally done something... looks like im getting somewhere.

This is a true league. So it consists of 1 match per week for the season followed by finals. Map rotation through the rounds so everybody plays the same map each week.

I am more than happy to listen to any suggestions you have for improvements or any issues you may have had in the past. My aim is to  to make this work for the breadth of the Australian community, which includes you.

I have sent you a PM of my original request. I have been through this with Auss!e and through I guess your boss Gcfireman. BTW I made a mistake TWL have done nothing. Untill that is fixed up or TWL decided to get off the asses and create a small little php script that removes the expired accounts. I'll blacklist the word TWL ever being used here. Sorry to sound like a CENSORED and you getting stuck in the middle of it, but im pretty pissed of at the higher staff at TWL.

I don't know the issue Sniper PM'd you about , and I don't need to know.
Suffice to say, it has him well and truly pissed off at TWL.

Thank CENSORED the BullCENSORED ban for swearing has been CENSORED off and we can all speak our minds now. Even though no official decision has been made on ADF entering a team, I still want to proceed, at this stage, as if we will be a part of it.

To that end, we need to get our input in for map selection.

Let me know what you want and I will email bacchus with the results.

Also is there any way interdiction  or snake be added but in .say with team scores put against another.... maybe played 3 or4 teams a night so the other s can watch and suss out how they play? just an idea
