simply put no....
aa uses the UDP protocol and as some people know UDP does not have error capability's inbuilt meaning it doesn't care if you get the data or not.....if it did care an sent you data and you didn't respond then sure it could cause lag because it would spend a certain amount of time waiting for the reply...
and the UT engine that aa is based on uses a connectionless connection which means it does not make a connection with the recipient before sending info like tcp does.it just sends it and if you get the message you get it and if you dont....then to bad....this is why sometimes you are shooting at someone and lag and when you restabilize your already dead.
