MAC ADDRESS BAN???

Just wondering why I was kicked and MAC banned from your server a few moments ago?

Aikin and I were both kicked and MAC banned.

Would like an explanation please.

There were no warnings of any kind given, we were happily just playin away and whammo..cya.

Would like to know how we earned this attention.

I not am sure what we did wrong etc even when we kick on our server just trying to make room for members we at least say what is happening and give the opportunity for players to quit etc.

Just odd to be mac addres banned with no expalnation at all !

As seppy asked if we did something wrong please tell us what it was I didnt even swear which is a feat in its self for me..

Blank pb screenies, Devil told me it was only for 24 hours

I know blank pb screenies dont mean anything, but the admin for the night probably thought it was sus

Just played another two hours, they are still black.

Happy to work with you guys to find out why that is, they seem to work everywhere else.

Odd that it affected Both of us tho.

Akin has an 8800GTX, I have two 7800GTX in SLI mode.

Looks like an issue with NVidia cards.

Feel better now, especially as I finished with a 34-6 match on yer server. :/

All bans where removed less then couple of months ago, Ill look into it. Both players check one is clean but SEPPY has a link. Both unbanned, wait 24 hours.

I all ready removed both bans last night.....

we talked on TS and you guys understood where the confusion was from and said the same thing it looked a bit sus......Just to let everyone knopw there around 7 black screen shots for each player.I checked screen shots either side of you guys and they where fine.ALT+TAB out normally produces the Application Not Active.....and these were just pure black....but yer bans were removed....And seems like we have found the problem....

well i'm sorry if i had offended anyone by my actions but when there is no screen shots showing anything but a black screen what am i meant to make of it!!! Deano had spoken to me and i had then removed the bans sorry to you guys.

No worries Devil,

truth be told we woulda done the same on our server...we mighta told em first lol, but we woulda been sus too.

I'm gonna try turning off the AA settings in my Nvidia panel and see if I can get a screenshot to appear on your website, Since reading the article above and checking my own screenie folder I've discovered none of my ingame shots are turning out either.

Will let you know shortly if this fixes it.

well I give up..can't get it to even take a screenshot now.

I'm shaped till end of the month..hate telstra..will download the latest drivers and re-install the game then c if it works.

Might try deleting the user and armyops ini files and letting the game rebuild them..I saw that in that thread I linked earlier..least I wont have to download anything.

Yeah Deano,

It seems to be cause by the Anti-Alaising setting in the Nvidia card control panel.

I've turned mine off and they seem to be workin...altho the game isn't as pretty lol.

the other effect..besides a black screen..is that you get a very zoomed in SS.
Normally top left corner I think.

It seems that in game shots taken by the player will suffer the same effects as the pbss...so its easy to tell if yer settings are mucked up..take a shot n look in the SS folder...if its not working on yer own..it ain't gonna work for PB either...and thats gonna mean confusion for an admin...I say, now that we know how to fix it, stick with kicking the black screen player..with a warning and instruction on how to fix it.

I added that one to...i'll need a new HDD soon to hold the database
