Iphone email commandline

Post by ADF-Sniper »

I have finally found a solution to email using the iphones command line.

I know none of you would be intrested to know how to do it but there are alot of people looking for a way to do this. Hopefully google cache.
iphone email telnet commandline command line attachment sendmail mail xmail perl

OK First you will need to download.... sendEmail
http://caspian.dotconf.net/menu/Software/SendEmail/

For sendEmail to work you will need perl installed
http://coredev.nl/

You will need to add the repository manually. When done open cydia and search for perl and install.

Code: Select all

./sendEmail -f johnsmith@qwerty.com -t nathum@gmail.com -u sub -m mess -s mail.SERVER.com:PORT -a /private/var/mobile/Library/SMS/sms.db -xu USERNAME -xp PASSWORD
As you can see I am backing up my SMS Messages via E-Mail running as a CRON Job.

of course wouldnt it be easy to send via FTP? well not if your with vodaphone or any other company that blocks all ports.

Works with iPhone4 OS 4.1
