For all those whom are smart
Ok guys i have another problem but this one is a major one . Yesterday i did a fresh windows load nothing unusual except i forgot to turn off my external hdd. i realised it was done after i had deleted a small partition (8gig) on it so i turned it off. Finished the load and turned the external hdd on as it not only stores all my photos and video from my son growing up but all my drivers, utils, settings backed up etc. Once turned on windows picked it up and did what windows does and then tells me its installed and ready to use. Problem is its not assigned a drive letter thus not showing up in my computer. I dont know what to do as this drive houses some very important stuff. I have rolled back drivers, reinstalled drivers etc nothing i do seems to work. Any one got any ideas?
Any help would be great. I know the drive is not buggered as it was working perfectly until i accidently deleted the small partition on it.

hey just wanted to say thanks to sinper bungy and freeman.
ended up having to take the drive into a computer shop and he's gonna extract as much off it as he can. so far only 42g from 128g of information he knows he can get off it. Its going to be a very long slow process so here's hoping he's successfull getting all the important suff.
