I just installed bf2 to have a smash on for a bit havent played it in ages and the install has taken away my aa desktop icons and i cannot find the exe file to play the game or create a shortcut. Has any one had or know of any aa / bf2 conflicts?

dont worry ppls i have just found out my beloved other half accidently deleted the system files NOT HAPPY

Quite clearly you have never had a "other half".

And if you do.... KEEP AHOLD OF THEM if they have never done something like this. They would be one in a million.

I actually have a wife and 2 kids but my wife's account don't have admin access, and my kids did touch the computer once but haven't since. their bums are still glowing from it.
