mmmm interesting i did similar testing with an x1650 using aao and fraps and the most vista dropped was 4 fps.......that was a total average of 5 runs on each system...each run being 10 minutes on a set path in interdiction.....

I was told that multiple core processors have limited effect on gaming cos no games are designed to use more than one core. so at best one core runs the OS and the other runs the game.

I have a quad I find it fast and when there are quad compatible games i'll have a head start anyway at the moment my 8800GTS makes gaming fantastic so yep.

yes but the later cpu's are not only better designed they more available cache which helps considerably
