uninstalling wmp

Post by ADF-Baby »

my old man (my old old old old man) installed a windows media update and it has cause his system to freeze and react really really slow. is there any way to uninstall the update? we cant go back to a restore point because a) its a business computer and too many files have been altered and it would cause too many hassles and b) it was over a month ago that it was installed.

what you do is this:
-> control panel
-> add/remove software
->then you make sure that the option which says something like "Show program updates" is enabled
->and then just locate the update and uninstall it.

This is from memory, but it should work something like this (i use vista now so it's all different)
