This is the Performance meter ive been working on for google dektop......
to try it you need google desktop installed from here:
http://desktop.google.com/
and then download the following file......
and unzip it and double click...ive based it on the pro-comp autometer gauges [smilie=halm[1].gif]......the one with tachometer memory of course [smilie=flicks.gif]
ok heres a screen shot

8mb isnt much
and ya cant beat google's indexing.....
plus you can turn off indexing on your pc which uses more memory then google.....no need for it if your using google desktop....
when you have around 12,084 folders with 126,768 files (and thats only one drive) you need somethintg a little better then the stocko windows search [smilie=laugh[2].gif]

Vista's $5 sister
And I prefer the Vista one as well... I only have to install one annoying program for that one, not three for this one

For that aforementioned 'Gadget' I have to install: XP, Google Desktop and the Gadget.
When I just have to install the Gadget, I'll install it and uninstall everything else
Other than that, it looks pretty cool from the ss

The Vista one is better but ofcourse you have to have vista and everything that comes with it. The monitor, thats CPU and memory?
