It does for me and a lot of other m8....it seems to me that it depends on the particulars of your system...directx9 can be very demanding and it may be the case that systems that are right on the limit are overloaded once this is enabled....But im just guessing orf course without some sort of facts ...

I use this quite often and someone asked the other day about finding whats taking up all your HDD.... I use Windirstat......it shows everything from whatever drives you select to be scaned.....as you can see in mine...the big file is Oceans 11. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1267/1305864671_f88e1de9...

It has a fan control with it...and on low speed which is very quiet they reckon its as good as a standard heatsink....who knows....
